FinderQC Browser Extension — Privacy Policy

1. What this extension does
The FinderQC browser extension shows a small floating button while you browse a supported buying-agent or marketplace site (such as Kakobuy, Oopbuy, Hipobuy, CNFans, Superbuy, Sugargoo, AllChinaBuy, Litbuy, USFans, Weidian, Taobao, or 1688). Clicking the button opens FinderQC in a new tab with that product's page pre-filled in the search box, so you can find its QC photos without copying and pasting the link yourself. The extension also adds a small "FinderQC" search badge over images on those same sites; clicking it sends that image to FinderQC's image search and shows the matching products (thumbnail, price, QC photo count) directly on the page, with an option to open the full results on finderqc.com.
2. What data the extension accesses
The extension reads the URL of the current tab, but only on the supported domains listed above, and only to build the FinderQC search link when you click the button. When you use the "FinderQC" image search badge, it sends the URL of the specific image you clicked to FinderQC's search API and displays the matching product results it returns. It does not read page content, form data, or any other browsing activity, and it does not run on any site outside that list.
3. What data the extension stores
The extension saves one setting locally in your browser: which of the supported platforms you'd like the floating button to appear on. This is stored using Chrome's built-in storage.sync API and is never sent to FinderQC or any other server by the extension itself.
4. What data the extension does not collect
The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or analytics. It does not use cookies or tracking pixels, and it does not communicate with any server except opening finderqc.com in a new tab when you click the button — after that point, browsing finderqc.com is covered by our main Privacy Policy.
